It's a cabaret evening showcasing talented up-and-coming performers. It's also a fundraiser and, in light of Valentine's Day, it's a novel way to celebrate love in many formats. It's "Love's Funny: An Evening of Sweet and Silly Love Songs" being performed at Westport Woman's Club on Feb. 12. Host Kat Palardy, comedian and singer, leads an evening of entertainment featuring performances by singer, songwriter and jazz pianist Camille Harris with her Silly Band, singer/actor Andrew Keltz and Matt Simons, a singer, songwriter and saxophonist. These performers are Broadway-bound and Westport Woman's Club a chance to show off their talent.
“Many rising stars are seeking opportunities to share their work in this difficult economy. The Club Room at the Westport Woman’s Club is an excellent venue that is often underutilized. We see this as a winning opportunity for the performers and the community as all proceeds from the series go to benefit our philanthropic programs," says Club President Mary Vickery.
Be sure to catch these rising stars -- you can say you saw them firrst -- when they play the Westport Woman's Club. All proceeds go to support charity. There are two performances, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and $40. For tickets, visit the Club's website or call .
