Westhill's junior varsity baseball team beat Danbury Wednesday, 8-6. Jesse Koretz pitched 5 2/3 solid innings to pick up the win and was relieved by Dalton Abel, who finished the game with a four-out save.
Billy Murphy stayed hot with his bat, going 3-for-3 with two singles, a long triple, an RBI, a run scored, a walk and two stolen bases. Walter Martinez also had a good day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a single, double, a run scored and a stolen base.
Westhill, 8-5-1, travels to play Stamford at 4 p.m. on Friday.
