If it has to rain, adequate coverage is a must. The umbrellas were out in downtown Stamford on Friday afternoon as pedestrians shielded themselves from the downpour.
The rain will continue throughout the day. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch, in effect through Saturday morning, and a high wind warning in effect until about 11 p.m. Friday.
The high temperature Friday will be about 47 degrees. No rain is expected Saturday, but the high temperature will drop to slightly above freezing, according to the National Weather Service. Don’t put those umbrellas away for the weekend, though. There’s a 50 percent chance of precipitation Sunday.
