The player who was the catalyst of the 2011 NCAA men's basketball national champions is headed for the pros. Kemba Walker, who led the UConn Huskies to the school's third NCAA championship, will enter the 2011 NBA draft, according to The Associated Press.
Walker was the unquestioned MVP of a team that won 11 games in a row in the Big East tournament and the NCAA tournament en route to the national title. He is expected to be a mid- to late first round pick in the draft on June 23. Walker, a junior, will graduate a year early from the University of Connecticut in May with a major in sociology.
