Stamford restaurants joined Stamford’s First Lady Maureen Pavia and the Ballet School of Stamford for the school’s 13th annual Chefs on Pointe food and wine tasting. The event benefitted the school’s Dance For All scholarship and outreach fund.
Pavia served as honorary co-chair for the event with Judy Ellenthal, the school’s board president. Participating restaurants included Tawa Indian Cuisine, Barcelona Wine Bar, Shelly’s on the River, Tappo and Crazy Grapes.
In addition to the food and wine tasting, guests got a preview of the school’s next performance, “Sleeping Beauty.” Led by Artistic Director Michael Vernon, 40 dancers showcased four vignettes from the show.
“Sleeping Beauty” will take presented Friday June 3, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Stamford Center for the Arts box office, priced from $9.50 to $50.
