Stamford does not often see snow in May. But it did when meteorologist Paul Piorek visited Corinne Dente, Omoleye Eusebio and the rest of their fourth grade class at Holy Spirit School.
Making it snow was just one of the many experiments the News 12 weatherman performed with the students. The other experiments included popping tops off plastic containers filled with water and Alka Seltzer tablets, and keeping a paper towel dry inside a cup of water that was submerged in water.
“These hands-on experiences made the concepts of weather systems captivating and fascinating,” Holy Spirit School said of Piorek’s visit.
