Stamford resident Edmond Willie Davis Jr. died on April 3.
He is survived by wife, Lillian Perry Davis; two sons, Victor N. Davis and his wife, Cynthia, and Timothy G. Davis and his wife, Deborah; five daughters, Coralee Perry Davis, Venus S. Davis, Rosa D. Davis Gallagher and her husband, Jeffrey, Vanessa Davis Champion and her husband, Jeff, and Tina M. Davis; two sisters, Pauline Duckworth and Emma Haely; a brother, Albert Davis, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
His family will receive friends at the Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford, Friday, April 8, from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by a joyous celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. Receiving hours on Saturday, April 9, are from 10 to 11 a.m., with Homegoing services to follow at 11 a.m., also at the Union Baptist Church.
