Rowayton Little League will host a Pitch, Hit and Run Challenge for ballplayers ages 7-13 Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Rowayton School Field. The event is sponsored by Major League Baseball. Stamford American Little League will host another event on May 14 at 12:30 at its field on Vine Road in Stamford. 

The skills competition provides boys and girls a chance to advance through four levels. The finals will be held at the Major League Baseball All-Star game. Players will run bases, hit off a tee and throw several pitches. The children do not need to be a member of the community in which they participate. First-round winners will compete at Stamford American on May 21.
