The Stamford pet of the week is Dora, a 3-year-old Shiba Inu/shepherd mix. She was adopted over a year ago and brought back to the shelter in December. Dora is spayed, up-to-date with her shots and house-trained.
Dora is a somewhat timid dog, but is a girl who knows what she wants. She does not do well with someone who may be overbearing or too pushy. She would do best with an experienced owner who will take the time to train her and give her the space she needs. She would also prefer a home without young children.
