The Network of Asian Moms will celebrate their culture and teach others about it in the Essence of India Cultural Show on Saturday, April 30. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Ferguson Library.
Entertainment for the event will feature Indian dancers and singers as well as a DJ, bingo and karaoke. There will also be stalls with henna, face painting, Indian fashions and children’s games. Food will be provided by Navaratna.
The Network of Asian Moms is a support group for South Asian mothers and those interested in the culture who live in lower Fairfield County. The group was founded in 2008 and strives to raise awareness about Indian culture in the Stamford community.
The event will take place in the Fellowship Hall at the First Presbyterian Church and will run from noon to 4 p.m. The entrance fee is $15 for adults and $6 for children older than 5. Food is not included in entrance price.
