Everything was supposed to be decided by now. But Mother Nature had other plans.
With scores of baseball and softball games postponed in the Fairfield Interscholastic Athletic conference, the wild playoff race is still up in the air. The entire slate of FCIAC baseball and softball games was axed Wednesday.
Now some teams will attempt to play three games in three days to complete the regular season before the scheduled start of the postseason Monday. The rain is expected to linger Thursday but is supposed to finally start to move out right at about the 4 p.m. game time. Below is the revised baseball and softball schedule for the next three days — weather permitting, of course.
