Four missing New York Times journalists, including Westport natives Tyler Hicks and Lynsey Addario, have been found, the newspaper reported Friday.
The journalists, who were reported missing Wednesday, were said to have been captured by forces loyal to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi and will be released Friday. On Thursday night, Libyan government officials told the U.S. State Department that all four would be released.
Hicks and Addario, both photographers for the newspaper, are Staples High School graduates. Hicks graduated in 1988, and Addario graduated in 1991. Both have won a Pulitzer Prize.
The two other journalists are reporters Anthony Shadid and Stephen Farrell.
