John Hungaski, 94, died March 27, in Hartford Hospital. He was born and lived most of his life in Stamford, before moving recently to Newington with his daughter.

A professional driver his entire life, Hungaski drove everything from oil tanker trucks to limousines. He also served in the U.S. Navy.

Hungaski is survived by daughter Alice H. Zulheski of Newington; sons Edward Hungaski of Texas and Arthur Hungaski of New York; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Rudenfeldt Hungaski.

A memorial service will take place Tuesday, March 29, at 11 a.m. at Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church, 511 Maple St., Wethersfield. Burial will take place Tuesday afternoon in Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Stamford.
