The Stamford Warriors won two weight classes and came away with medals in a host of others at the Berlin Blast wrestling tournament last weekend.

In one of the most competitive tournaments of the year, Stamford wrestlers Isaiah Johnson and Mike Edwards won all of their matches by pins to come away with gold medals.

Tom Mazur, Jake Heerman, Tom Uhl, Jaden Dawkins and Tyler Lueders all took home well-earned silvers.

Darian Murray, Nolan Morris, Christian Cruz, Rohan Minott, Chases Parrott, Brian Cruz, Mikhail Moss, Justin Lueders, Williams Grimes and Mitchell Grimes won bronze medals.

Angelo Pellicci, Julian Chudy and Eric Cruz also wrestled well for the Warriors.

The Warriors middle school team dropped a hard-fought decision on Monday to Ridgefield. Matt Conte and Tom Uhl remained undefeated on the season, picking up two more wins, each in dominating fashion. Jake Heerman, Nick Lucente, Will Eby and Mike Ceci also won bouts for the Warriors. Bryce Kijek and Isaiah Johnson moved up to middle school team from the elementary squad and also picked up wins.

Stamford Junior Wrestling will compete at the Danbury quads on Saturday, and then again on Sunday at the Danbury Invitational.
