President Obama is playing it safe with his picks for the NCAA men's basketball tournament. The First Fan revealed his picks Wednesday live on ESPN, picking all four No. 1 seeds to reach the Final Four.
The president stayed away from upsets all around, choosing teams seeded fifth or higher to reach the Sweet Sixteen. The only upset Obama picked was choosing Kansas to win it all over Ohio State.
Despite being a basketball enthusiast, Obama does not have the best track record in his March Madness picks. He has chosen just one of the correct Final Four teams in his previous two years in office.
Obama's full bracket can be found on ESPN. The 2011 NCAA men's basketball tournament kicks off Thursday at 12:15 p.m. in the East bracket, with No. 5 West Virginia taking on No. 12 Clemson.
Which teams are you picking to reach the Final Four? I picked Ohio State, San Diego State, Purdue, and (Cinderella alert!) Utah State. Start the discussion below!
