A celebration of the life of Stamford resident Cindy Ann Smith will be held Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 6:15 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Elm Street, in Stamford. Smith died suddenly Feb. 4 at the Cornell Medical Center from a neurological disorder. She was 47 years old.

Smith worked for 23 years in the City of Stamford Tax Office. She was a graduate of Westhill High School and was known for her distinctive personality and her artworks. She also enjoyed music, the outdoors and her favorite sports team, the New York Yankees. Smith was a great friend and caring mom.

She is survived by Louis Mark Marzullo; her children, Erica Psichopaidas Smith, Nicholas Marzullo and Alexander Marzullo; her parents, Richard and Carol Waring Smith of Norwalk; her sister, Laurie Smith-Carbino of Riverside and her husband, Roy; three brothers, Richard Jr. and David Smith of Norwalk and James Smith of Woodsville, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. Smith was predeceased by a daughter, Renee Psichopaidas Smith.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Smith’s memory to New York Presbyterian Hospital, Neurological Research, 525 E. 68th St., New York, NY 10065.
