More than hair was cut when a New Haven man was arrested in Stamford on Tuesday for allegedly slashing another man in the midst of a trim, police said.
David Davis, 21, of Cedar Hill Ave., New Haven, told police he was getting a haircut at an apartment on Henry Street in Stamford when the victim allegedly approached him aggressively. Davis told police he used the scissors to slash the victim in the back in self defense.
The victim, a Stamford man, was taken to the hospital for treatment. Davis was taken into custody when police found he was wanted on an outstanding warrant on a charge of failing to appear in court. Further investigation led to charges in the stabbing.
Davis was held on $5,000 bond and is due in court March 22.
